  • I reckon it's time for a Perth day trip!

Who's up for a meet and drive in and around Perth?

I'm a bit of a fan of around Lane Poole with a lunch at the Quindanning pub, or a run from Tim's Thicket to Preston Beach or the powerline to York? Other suggestions?

Needs to be a weekend for me.

    Anyone keen?

Keen to go. Haven't done any off road trips before. Looking for someone to go with and some advice as to what I will need before hand.

Thanks looking forward to dates and places.

Following this thread - only really been on the beach a few times since stepping back into the Prado.....

Did part of the Power Pole stretch recently on a 4wd course - bit worried my stock Prado may not make it....

          Sundays are best for me

Great to see some momentum building.

Definitely need to make sure we do a trail that has a good mix for those who want a bit of a challenge and those that have stock vehicles.

I'm also guessing people would appreciate something family friendly.

And it looks like Sunday's are shaping up to be the preferred day... maybe we aim for something in the back end of June?

I'd be keen on a Day Trip, heading out on a road trip to Kununurra in a week and wont be back until early July though... be keeping an eye on this.

And here I was about to make a post asking if there were many Perth members active?
Count me in. Sundays are best for us too. Thinking about going up to Wilbinga this weekend. It's been a while and I've got the itch
                  Cheers

I would be keen, heading north for 4 weeks back at end of June.

Yeah why not eh. Apparently the beach is fairly eroded as there is a big swell up today. But the tracks should still be ok
                      Cheers

Well Wilbinga was good today. Had a good time on the dunes. Picked up a lot of rubbish too. And brought half the beach home too.

Ok - now momentum is building. Looks like a Sunday early July is tacking to the best time.

Preferences for north or south of Perth? Or locations?

                          Here's some ideas...
Wellington Dam (haven't done it yet)
Dwellingup (Capt Fawcett track, Nanga loop or any combination)
                          Tims Thicket (south of Dawesville)
                          Wilbinga (north)
Power line track to York meeting around Mundarring?
                          Others?

Wellington dam sounds good I've never been there. Done the Nanga loop a couple of times and power lines once. But not since I got lifted
I only have AT tyres, not muddies yet.
                            Cheers
