Gday folks.
Im heading up to Fraser just after Xmas. Driving up from Canberra with a stop over in the Goldy to see friends/family and hoping to be on that barge from Inskip sometime on the 27th (depending on tides!).
No set plan to follow, im not a itinerary kind of bloke. Ill have the wife with me for part of the time (she doesnt want to stay as long as i do) and I want to do a mixture of remote/park/resort touring. The plan at this stage is to drop her off to get the barge back to Hervey for a flight to Canberra on the 2nd so that gives us roughly 7 days to see most stuff (ive been twice before).
Im hoping to head as far North as i can and then wander back from there. (Sandy Cape, Waddy Point, Cathederal, Eurong Kingfisher etc). I dont really want to have to book but im concerned with how busy it will be around that time.
Question is, what are my chances of just rocking up as i please and getting a site for the night?
Thanks in advance.
RR
