  • Tassie: Montezuma Falls today

Went for a run down the west coast to go into Montezuma Falls today with some friends. Originally was going to do the Ring River track on the way out, but after a week and a bit of rain, it was given a miss as the 50m run through it was going to be risky - especially for the vehicles without snorkels. The track base was fairly solid all the way, and the recent winds had only brought down two trees over the track - but these were taken care of with the chainsaw and lead vehicle's winch. Was a super day with very little damage (I popped the rear bumper again, but just pushed it back in) plus a few extra scratches.

I have some unfinished business with that track, we got almost all the way in many years ago in our Rodeo twin cab but had to turn around. Next time we visit Tassie that's an absolute must do for us. Good to see its still doable.

        Cheers Andrew
