Not sure what my range would be in the snow. Could be 500km. I'll definitely be packing a jerry and filling up to the brim at the last fuel station.
    Chat soon.
    Cheers Ben.
To give you an idea I used around 24L/100km offroading at the GTG and around 19L/100km during my recent snow driving. Probably due to very limited use of low range.

Always good idea to get Alpine Diesel if travelling and camping in the cold, basically fill up at the servos near the mountains

Ben I will be coming up on the Saturday I think. I am not able to make it on the Sunday now. This weekend I used quite a bit of fuel (3/4 of a main tank) having fun. Fuel economy in our 90 series petrols will use a bit and this weekend from what I can calculate was around 19 ish, which is similar to Glenn but I was in low range for most of the day.

Yes as you noticed I was on the right pedal a lot but for most of the hills you needed to give it some stick and even then I only just made it (but this is only if you are playing in the fresh stuff). I did not stay on the mountain last weekend we just left early from home. Its only 2.5 -3 hours from my house if you keep moving.
90 series prado with lots of stuff.

Thanks guys. I'll just have to keep an eye on it and take a jerry to be sure. I hope to be using a fair bit of loud pedal Then I've always got the kids to push me.

          Cheers Ben.

            How many litres in a 90? 180lt?
R u on gas? If not you will be ok without a jerry, we are within 100k to a servo.

Just wondering on an update on the plans

Plans for Friday night? Or is it a meet up Saturday morning?

Camping Saturday night, is that below the snow line? Camp at one of the old huts??

                    Cheers Sefo

Interesting place this. the photos just make me cold.

like the quote "The Matlock area has plenty of camping options as well as unlimited 4WD tracks and old mine sites to check out, some of the tracks in the area are very steep and should be left alone in wet weather".
