          Hi all,
Spent Easter camping and exploring at the Styx and Little Styx Rivers in Cunnawarrra Nat Park (NSW). It's a great park to explore as having been only recently gazetted as a National Park, all of the Forestry Trails are still OPEN .... for now that is ...

          Campsite on the Little Styx

          Little Styx River

Styx River @ Wattle Flat Camping Area

If you look closely you can see all the "styx"

          Campsite @ Wattle Flat

Quick trip into Cathedral Rock Nat Park on way home ... these guys obviously can't read :!:

Obstacles you should avoid on the road ..

Home and soon to be hosed ...

Hope to head back up there soon... maybe when it's colder and the leaches have died down.

          Jim

Didn't get to do any fishing Samo, was out to try out the new set up and iron out any bugs. Saw a lot of fishing tho (but didn't see any catching).

Jim, can tell us about the roof top tent, did you have to remove the factory rails, how much does it weight, how much weight can it hold ie how many people can slept in it, what brand etc etc.

                  Thanks,

What about using snatch blocks to halve the load etc. means more times to reset it all if a long pull, but takes strain off the winch.

Hi Hutch, the Tent is a Howling Moon, now marketed as the ARB Simpson Mark 2, sleeps 2 adults or 2 adults and a child - weight of tent is 60 kg. Would hold a lot of weight ... while stationary! Mounted on the ARB Touring Roof Rack ... after GXL Rails removed. Enough Room in front of the tent for the max tracks as you can see. The ARB rack was fitted by the local TJM shop and bolts straight into the Roof Rail mounts. The colour is almost a perfect match for the Charcoal Grey.

                      Cheers,

                      Jim

Among one of the many places we saw Stockyard point near
Byfield National Park was great. The road had only just be opened in the last few days in time for Easter. Prado just strolled in with no worries. 9 Mile beach is in the background.
The car is quiet dirty in this photo but the silver hides it well.
07 Prado GXL, D4D manual, silver and a fridge with constantly changing beer levels.
