Thanks Jeff, Leachy & Jen, Mototrim, and Russ & Jen for a fantastic day out. Thanks also to Jeff for a great lead.

As we found our way in .... to a patch of ground that we knew was littered with really gnarly ruts, washouts and mud ..... we had no idea what was to come.

Jeff to the rescue. "Let's move a few logs .....

Gee Jeff be careful next time what you let crawl out from under a log!

Looks like you all had ball even though the plan slightly changed..

Good one mav. I wish it would learn to wipe its own ar$e.

Well I have some pics on the way but first, thanks everyone for a good day out, And it will get better (worse)out there especially after some more rain.

Traction control, lockers and open diffs, they all made it through, with a bit of a help from a winch here and there to make ahh, vehicle position changes, yeah, thats what they were, position changes, or VPC's. NOT recoveries. Thems are for nissans...
I had to pull myself out of a stink puddle, Chippy had to do a bit of rear wheel steering for me with a 90' reverse side winder winch off a tree.
Russ needed help to drag his belly off a high rise center lump. All within about 100Meters. awesome. the dozer didnt find that track.

I have given the prado a wash and raised the level of soil on the front lawn some more. Bonus.
Oh and there was a HUGE accident involving Leachy's and Moto's cars. A HUGE rearender. people everywhere.... but that happens when an auto is left in "D" and you dont leave a driver in the car!!!!!!!!!! Whoops. as luck would have it the damage was minimal

Ill post some pics tomorrow. (not of the accident scene....too graphic.

Get well hayley (hope thats how you spell it) poor little thing
            Jeff.
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

Bugger - hope all is OK.

Reminds me of something stupid I saw yesterday. RAV4 in a carpark and just as we drove past, the lady was leaning in the door getting something out of the front and all I can guess is that it was running and she knocked it into D. It bunny hopped up a massive curb and stopped on a tree. If not for those two obstacles she would have ended up bunny hopping into the side of our Prado! Hubby was on the other side of the car on the mobile - should have seen him react  I reckon the lady will have a few bruises today :?

It didnt look to bad on the outside but under the bonnet and underbelly was a different story.

Im sure that there is something in that mud that would give superglue a run for its money.

                    Hey Fishnut,
The damage was nothing really applied a bit of heat to the rear bumper and its pretty good, hardly see it but now Leachy knows "P" is for parking and leaving an idling car in low range "D" is for possible disaster.
                    Cheers Moto

Spot on Steve. The boys all had their Rockingham 4x4 Club polo shirts on (has me thinking about a Pradopoint polo shirt for our days out).

One of the lads had some recent mod and something was rubbing against one of the hoses to the fluid reservoir for the clutch. Anyways ... it ate through and dumped his clutch fuid on the deck. A bit of bush mechanic stuff and he was off and running again.

Then the lads went looking for some sort of track that wasn't freshly graded.

                        Cheers

Well I finally got home but still haven't washed the Prado.

Hayley is getting better but still isn't 100% but thanks for your well wishing.

We had a fantastic day and I still don't know how we made it through some of thoses tracks,Thanks for the winching Leachy I hope your winch can re-cover from those flesh wounds.
Remember P is for park and D is for drive?

I still can't believe how easy Mototrim made it look in that lounge chair on wheels.Great car that one.
Here is a little video of the day.
