    APRIL 26TH NEW MISSION has changed/ check new thread

    i have been thinking of another mission and after doing Bloomfield track with Crammy over the weekend thought it might be a good one...

    this is just a idea at this stage.. but was thinking along the lines of cruising through Daintree up through cape trip and onto Bloomfield ..

    would be a great opportunity for a camp over and a few beers and bbq??

    loads of tracks and certainly some cracking scenery to be had...

    ok like i said just a tentative plan at this stage , but that particular weekend siuts both myself and crammy...see how it works for you .. or alternatively throw some other destinations into the hat and we will make a plan of attack...

    Hi Joey,

    Its a bit of a bugger but I'm going to be in Melbourne the Anzac day weekend for the annual footy trip (proper footy - AFL). Its an even bigger bugger as I will have the new Prado hopefully by the end of next week ,depends on how long ARB need to put the goodies on. This would have been a good shakedown cruise. Let us know about the next one.

      Hi Joey

      I'd love to do the trip and had been talking about it recently. However, at this stage I have been invited to go barra fishing up the cape for the long weekend.

      Bugger what a choice. 4wding and beers and bbq up the daintree, or 4wding, beers, bbq and barra up the cape.

        Thats a great idea Joey, we'll have to pack the rods too... Flick some lures around or do what you did the other day and skull drag a GT in off the beach!

              just got back from down porgera inn papua you giveme.
              how are we all looking for the weekend?
              Crammy did you get the info on creb trek. and have you fitted the new rubber for the mission??

                  No mate I didn't get a chance... No new rubber yet but everything has arrived and is ready to go... I'll get the new wheels fitted this week before we go.

                    i figure you might be needing that new rubber,thats if we go creb trek..
                    depending on how many are coming we will decide which route to go and where to stay over..

                      Just rang wet tropics and the CREB track is still closed due to ergon doing maintenance on the track, they're hoping to hear whats happening this week but I think we may miss out on the track this weekend.

                        What's the plan boys?? I'm keen but might be out if it's an overnighter. CREB would have been good but probably better later in the year. Some really great places to camp up there as you probably know. If you go Bloomfield you could still go to Roaring Meg falls up the back way from Bloomfield but then have to go back the same way. It's worth the drive but no real 4WDing that way. There's a great lookout over the Bloomfield about 5 ks up the Zigzag road but it might be out too. I was up there in October and it was ROUGH - low 4 all the way but it's only 5 ks I guess.
