I did the west to east last September and it was my third Simpson Desert crossing and I reckon it was the worst! The track is cut to pieces with the only way over was low pressures and low range. If you are towing then allow for a lot of fuel. Don't get me wrong it was still a great trip but I have done it both ways and generally east to west is harder but that trip was as hard. The reason for the negativity on trailers in the Simo is that the difficulty in dune crossings means wheel spin and then big holes. I understand the space difficulties but based on my trip last year expect a tough trip if towing. Also in the group we had of 10 vehicles not one flat.
See ya on the tracks, Richo.
