  • Hawks Nest for the long weekend.

Heading to Hawks Nest for Australia Day long weekend.
Anyone got any ideas for light duty tracks up that way?
Will be solo, as my mate drives a Captiva, so he can't follow me
Just some bush touring would be great.

    TIA.

Theres not a lot of 4WD tracks in that area. Head up the beach to "little Gibber". A nice beach drive with beautiful swimming at the northern end. You do need a NPWS vehicle pass but well worth it.

There are numerous State forests if you want to drive a little further. Bulahdelah area is nice, so is Wallaroo State Forest back down near Medowie, both are about half hour drive and have all levels of tracks.
