we are leaving on the 18th and will be in Punsand bay by the 26th. can't wait.
kids are pretty excited and not only for the face they are missing 2 weeks of school

Started getting all the gear together. Dual batteries done, secondary fuel filter fitted, canopy on, roof racks on, fishing rod tubing completed.
Plan to leave Vic on 19th June to meet up in Cairns on 23rd.
Not long now.

I would say yes but everything could depend on road conditions and how well the group is traveling as you know.
Remember we past Laura twice so could have the option of another day. You could also stop if you really did want to see it and just drive up to Archer river after.

I think we all had the intention to the Creb track but I'm thinking it Will be closed so looks like the Bloomfield tk is the go.
The Daintree is a nice drive and many things to see.

CREB Track closed until dry season
Record rainfall in the local area which has caused flooding is preventing work crew from undertaking seasonal repairs on the CREB Track. Timing of this work is weather dependent and will be undertaken as soon as possible.

Nearly all packed and decided to run it over the scales came in at 3.22t. Still have to put in 30kg water, spare tyre 25kg?, food 5kg?, wife 65kg, clothes15kg so am estimating 3.36t.

Hi #### I went to the Chandler tip I took with me one of my vouchers but he said keep it and let me loop straight back out. It's not far from Manly west probs 5-10 mins. If you would prefer to go with a voucher thing let me know but you are on the scales when you pull up to the window anyhow. They open at 630am

Hi all, been in Cairns for a few days now and the rain has stopped. Nice tropical steamy day today. I believe the track to Chilli Beach is closed at the moment. Looking forward to catching up with you all and heading further north.

Nice, we are in Hervey Bay, sounds like about 5 of the Mexicans are well into outback Qld, apparently lots of rain & water crossings already. At a guess they may even be up there early, unless they find a nice detour.
We will be up by Thursday sometime.
