No. I thought of that in your spot lights post. Sorry.
We use southern sheetmetal for alloy..
I actually thought I said that in my head about the birthday... ops:
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

If you want any welding or fabricating done I can get my workshop opened for it.
Yes please i would like to get rid of the bolts on the new bash plate and make them like the origionals.
Also if theres a bench and airline and you have your carpet i will cover your drawers for you at the same time.(Ive got the glue)

Could be a busy day with the mass production of draws and there coverings followed by consumption of large quantities of amber liquid to celebrate ones age increasing
Ah bugger it lets just celebrate your birthday
Yes, Fishnut, the time has come to be snorkalised!
Tech day, try tech week!
Were you still keen to do polyairs and front springs Chippy? Do we look at doing two groups or what? I have access to an arc welder or do we need a mig? I'm still happy for my joint or do we all just rock up at Jeffs work and make ourselves at home?
Thanks for the offer Justo but I think I'll bite the bullet and let someone touch my car.
I had thought of making a steel frame for the drawers then just lining them but not sure. I dont know. I'm happy to do a snorkel and any suspension work and help with fab work but it's not my forte and don't have a lot of gear. Maybe copy below and add your own?
What about this-
Fishnut- snorkel
Chippy- springs
Justo-
Leachy-
JeffS-
Mototrim- bash plate mods
MattW- drawers if time permits??
Can i turn up and have some electrical fridge plugs wired up.
Great.....Thanks guys.
Have cold beer will travel.
Cheers
Steve

If you have argon and can grab some aluminium tig rods I can supply the welder.
I have argoshield. ? same?

If there`s gona be any naked flames or smokers we will have to do any drawer glueing another time.
Unfortunatly the glue fumes hang around quite a bit in this weather and are quite volatile.
We can always schedule another day at my workshop for any upholstery mods
After a quick search I found this....
Only use pure Argon when welding with TIG, this applies to all metals especially thin material where it is even more critical. There are special grades of gases for Tig welding eg Argon/Helium mix etc but they are not necessary for mainstream applications. Some people use Argoshield (mixed gases for tacking etc) but it is not the correct gas and doesn't weld very well.
So I guess not, argoshield is designed for mig only it seems. I may be able to get hold of a small bottle for a small donation, can enquire on that if needed. I can certainly bring the welder though if anyone needs arc / tig or aluminium welded.
