Great report Mitch. It is beautiful country out there, but there are so many historical tracks that just aren't there any more. I used to explore them quite a bit - but in the work 4wd, not my Prado! Hope there aren't too many scratches to polish out.

Glad you didn't get lost and kudos to Tam for the driving...

Hope to see you guys out on a WA trip soon.

How about some more photos. How is the prado going with the new springs?

Hey Steve, the suspension is bloody awesome mate!! Chalk and cheese between stock and what weve got now.....

I was also surprised at how well the Bridgestone HT's performed, we let them down to 26PSI and never had an issue, considering what they were put through... Especially in Kalgoorlie with the sharp rocks there...

              Yep, thats correct

Good for land speed records out there... The guy that owned the BloKart had it up on two wheels as we were leaving... the wind picked up a little more and he was getting another 10kph out of it.... I hit 41kph and he got 52kph as we left...

              Bloody good fun...

yeh they are bloody good fun in a desent wind

when we were there we went for a sair around the edge of the lake then made a mad dash back to camp and i got my yatch to just over 90km/h.

feels bloody quick when your that close to the ground and got no brakes

                    WOW, 90kph is damn quick!!!

You can only go as fast as the wind blows, so it must have been a bloody windy day!!

                    Yeah haaaa

Good you did it. We chickened out after we had done 5km on the actual track as it was scratching the paint on the car too much for our liking. Certainly would not pull a camper over the HT. We continued along the Holland way, which is just a great drive into memory lane........ Also, dont miss the breakaways on the Holland way. Beautiful spot and surroundings to spend the night.
