Im hoping to sort out those recovery points over the weekend, picked up some advice on here.
Can I pick them up somewhere in WA, save having them posted?
Im in the Northern suburbs of Perth.
Just remember not to put the washer on the top bolt (the 1 closest to the sub frame bolt that hangs down)or you may have the vibration problem that me and Mumsrig had
Not sure, but these might be the same ones (pretty sure that ORE sells them too).
I'm guessing that OBPP refers to something like Outback (ideas) Prado something. (where's the photo?). Anyway, these are rated ... perhaps someone else can confirm if they are the same ones - or a phone call might even solve it  .
A late entry
I think I will be able to join up for the week-end at this stage so count me in with the Family.

I'm leaving the dog at home as it probably would be eat"n
Well, not only did I miss out on the tec day  ,I'm going to miss what sounds like a great weekend away and all due to bloody work :x Got a phone call yesterday(just got back from QLD) and have to go back to work Friday for arround 5 weeks. So to all of you, hope you all have a great trip and I'll see you when I return.
Sharky
P.S Works not that bad because I get 5 weeks to save and think about what next to buy for the prado. Only problem is Anett tends to go shopping more when I'm not arround which would be ok if she bought things for the car. I can ashore you that won't happen :?
Your family has been added to the list so i hope you can make it, more the merrier
Jeez Sharky i think you drew the short stick again :x
Its good to take a positive out of a negative, you just gotta train the missus that for every 1 thing she buys for herself you get to buy 2 for the car
Way ahead of you . How do you think I got the tyres :P (saddel=one set of mtz). Those horses just eat money, only trouble is to make sure there's enough money left for me  Can't wait till Anett wants a new horse float cause that will equal a camper trailer foreshore  .I think I better keep working ops: See ya
Sounds like a good weekend planed I would love to come down that way as we had a ball there the other week, But We will have to give this one a miss as .....We will be heading up too Sharkbay,Horrocks and Corination beach for 13 days . Have fun guys which I am sure you will.
Cheers

Just an update for everyone i contacted CALM today and they confirmed that we will have the whole place to ourselves
If anyones got a small chainsaw that would be great as there is wood there but i think it needs cutting.
For Saturday i thought a leisurely drive along the Murray River using the Day Trips book, but if anyone has any more interesting tracks we could try those :?:
Hey Sharky good to hear you know how to handle the books,Mum`s the word
Ok I got the recovery points as recommended, went into ARB and they wanted over $200 for them (albeit pretty heavy duty ones) so I decided to take a trip down to Myaree and get the Outback ones for $100 the pair.
I've also been looking at UHF radios, the GME TX3440 seems to be the popular choice, now in ORE down in Myaree they are asking $529 without the antenna so over $600 all up I reckon.
Did some research on here and found the radio $404 inc antenna from Prestige (so quite a saving there, thx guys)
I have ordered the GME TX3440 from them, hopefully should arrive in a few days (free postage)
Was also looking at air compressors, maybe the bushranger. Hoping to drive up to Lancelin over the long weekend to have a crack at those sand dunes......if the credit card has recovered
It is a bit tight to make the Icy Creek trip, bearing in mind installation etc, but I'm doing my best.
Good saving on the recovery points, but don't be to worried about anything else as there will be plenty of compressors to go around and i am sure there are a few hand helds that can be borrowed
