I know another Fraser Island sort of trip report...sorry.
But, a couple of firsts on our trip.
The first was a guy deciding to go around Nkgala Rocks on the Ocean tide before high tide. We were worming a 100 metres or so north of the rocks and he sped past us did not stop to check conditions or even time the waves. Not far into it he was hit by a reasonable wave, and in the ensuing white water ended up driving over quite a few serious rock outcrops. Here is how he ended up
I guess a few might have seen this facebook video of part of the recovery.

We organised a couple of snatch straps and a couple of guys with winches turned up, and then my attention was diverted. My family could not understand why I was running around in circles in the surf like a madman, they thought I had dropped my phone. Nope but I managed to catch this.
I reckon that will be a first and last.
Next I caught this just south of Browns Rocks, not what I was chasing, no wire trace, just a circle hook and live bait.
A couple of days later, was the first time we have driven around the ocean side of Nkgala Rocks
