Put my permit application in today, EPA were very helpful and also got the CB wired in as well. I will chuck in a rope and bow saw too in case there is some (small to medium size) timber down. I went through the Kauri Creek Road about 6 weeks after Larry and it was okay, but you never know what may come down.

The Grandcraps may get a little choked with mud by the looks of things.

for those guys that dont have permit you can get them from sherriden st next to the court house in there office......

they are free and dont take long....

I'm in. Got the permit. They said at this stage Kauri Ck Road is closed but can do the slightly longer route via Mt Edith Road which comes out on Danbulla forest road between Kauri Ck and School Point. Starts at the same place - Tinaroo Creek Road outside Mareeba. Should be good. There used to be a top lookout at Mt Edith. Dunno if there's a road from Emerald Creek Falls on to it - looks like mountain goat country on the map(fun). Anyway see ya all at Maccas.

:twisted: sorry Guys, I may not be there tomorrow. I had a flat L/H rear tyre this morning, got it fixed at Tyrepower no worries. Get home and the front L/H tyre is down to about 15 pound. I have changed it and put about 50 PSI in it and can't hear a bloddy leak.

Belay that, it's got a hole in it. I will be along later tomorrow, after I get it fixed. Give you lot a call on Channel 40.

Well we had a good turn out 5 rigs. we met at our usual haunt, Macas Smithfield for a early morning coffee and mac muffin....

we then headed up the range and out to Mareeba.
the drive was not challenging but veryscenic and through beautiful rainforest...


we got to Tinaroo dam and headed to a spectacular view...





after we had a bit of a snack the other lads went home and myself and kevin(kroe), rolled on and went to a more serious track at 7 hills...
WE HAD A BALL!!!! LOW RANGE ACTION ALL ARVO :lol: :lol: 8)

Any how the day was great cruzy to start and nice and challenging at the end....
