Meeting At ... Petrol station on Ipswich Boonah Rd a couple of hundred meters before you get to the roundabout.

Dirty Weekends tour starts at Boonah...

Is 8:30am for a 9am departure too early?

I haven't done the trip before so I'm guessing it might take 4 or 5 hrs to travel the 130klms at a leisurely pace :?:

From memory, took us nearly two hours to get there and half an hour for the 13 crossings.

Thanks for moving the thread Snaga.

I'm up for Condamine Gorge on Monday also. I gotta be back for the footy (Titans vs Storm - go the Titans) by 5pm. So I prefer the 8:30am meeting for a 9am departure. I will need to head for home around 2:30pm.

Put me down for a maybe. We were planning on doing the Condamine on Monday as well, however the threat of rain has us rethinking (rain makes the road impassable quite quickly). It doesn't take much for the area to become flooded.

If there is no rain - the actual offroad bit is very easy (pretty much dirt road driving, but some of the spots on the side of the track allow for a little playing). Wengnuts is right - there is a lot of bitumen stuff and only a little dirt. Last few times we have started the day at O'reilleys, then travelled down duck creek road, then out to Boonah (DCR allows us a little more dirt into the drive).

Last time we went to the gorge after a large amount of rain we only made it across the first crossing heading from Rathdowney. Two landcruiser with snorkles came the otherway with water over the bonnet at the second crossing an informed us that that was the hardest crossing..

Yep... if you have a look at the Google map with the above co-ords... it looks like a servo.
Roof over driveway ???

I'll update the first post for the 8:30am for 9am departure.
