Off to Moreton next week for 7 days for the first time.
Any info on what is a must, or do we just go & enjoy & explore.
Any hidden treasures or must do's I need to know about ??
Looking forward to a break, fishing, exploring, Happy hours & all.

Just explore as much of it as you can. In 7 days that won't be an issue. The track that runs south of Tangalooma resort to the southern points of the island is good.

Honeymoon bay is beautiful, take a snorkel and mask and check out what's left of the tangalooma wrecks, there is some good fish life in there, and also spend some time along the eastern beaches checking out the old war relics like gun turrets etc.

Don't be fooled by the term 'Blue lagoon' it ain't blue haha. Nice enough spot for a (usually very cold) swim though.

I was there camping for 8 days in January this year. Champagne pools is stunning but crowded during the holidays. Lighthouse is a nice place to go to. Blue Lagoon is nice and small but can become crowded with bus loads of tourists.

Mt. Tempest walk is beautiful, just be prepared to climb many steps and take heaps of water with you...the 360 degree view at the top of the island is awesome!

Mirapool Lagoon is very nice as well and very quiet with hardly anyone going there, though you can only drive there during low tide.

Make sure you have a tide chart as well as there are several places on the island that are not passable during high tide.
