On Friday 8/4/16 i to my boys up to Mt Mee for a bit of a wheel and went mostly places we had not been yet. We left home at about 0930 and headed for Dayboro and then out to Mt Brisbane road. At the end of the black top we stopped and aired down then we were off for our adventurer entering on Chambers rd then left onto Range Road forest drive for a short bit then right onto Byron creek rd we followed that till we got to the next left onto Jacky creek center rd with the hope of Jacky creek road might be open but no that was a fail. We then carried on up till we joined back up with Range Road forest drive at which point i asked my three and five year old which way to go next, It was a quick reply of back down Daddy.
With that we span around and back down Jacky creek center rd we went, A little over the down hill we run into to 4wds coming the other way. We stopped for a chat they were not shore were they were and asked if i knew, I showed them and they asked if i new how to get down to A Break. Yep i do i am heading that way self and asked if they wanted to follow, With that they span around and we were off back onto Byron creek rd down onto Diana's Bath Road with lead us to A Break.
Once at A Break we stopped for the other two to air down then it was time to go Chris went first in his moded Hilux then me in the stock Prado and followed up by Chris's brother in his stock Navara. I was surprised at how steep it was and once up the hill climbs the view was quite staining. In the dry the A Break very easy but in the wet it would be a much more interesting drive.
We then came to a fork in the road Chis stopped and asked which way to go i said it didn't mater as both tracks takes us up to Western escarpment forest drive, Chris went right (i now wish i told him to go left as that was a much better drive a found out later) after a short drive we arrived the end and onto Western escarpment forest drive, Here we said our good byes and they went right and went back to there camp and I went left. Not long later my boys said they were hungry, OK lunch time i said and we headed for the Gantry.
After a quick bit to eat we were off again down Lovedays rd left onto Western escarpment forest drive then a right onto some moderate tracks which i think is also known as K Break, We followed these for about an hour these tracks were fun a lot more technical then Jacky creek center rd (a moderate track) and A Break (A difficult track) which parts of had been graded recently. After getting back on to Western escarpment forest drive we headed back to A Break but took the second track back down to A break and this was another fun track then once out of A Break it was off back to Mt Brisbane road aired up and off home.
here is a track map of where we went. We started and ended in the same place
