Where can I go?

Hi all,
Im new to Prado Point and 4 wheel driving.
I have read and watched many tips and tricks about do's and don'ts of 4WD so the idea and intent is there, I just need the hands on I guess.
This post is a 2 part-
Firstly, anyone looking for anyone to tag on with around the Gold Coast/Brisbane area then let me know and ill join in, id be keen to learn from your experience.

Secondly, Im off on leave for 2we from the 27 JUN 16 - 08 JUL 16 and had been planning and gearing up for a drive out to Birdsville for the country feel and serenity. Downside is there will be 6000 people turning up at the same time for the Big Red Bash! This kind of ruins my plan...
So anyone have an itinerary for another outback adventure off the beaten track that does not include 6000 people?

Ill try anywhere, north, south, west anywhere that sparks an interest with a combination of off road adventure.

Do the loop => Birsdville, Bridsville track, Strezlecki track, Innaminka and home.
Or close to that is Innaminka, Cameron's Corner, Arkaroola, then back via Broken Hill (& Silverton).

Welcome Matty,

Firstly, if you think you can make it up, keep an eye out for the steak night invites that get posted here. Every couple of months we get together for a steak at the norman hotel in wollongabba to have a chat and a catch up which would be a good place for you to meet a few of us.

Secondly, good timing because at the last steak night we were just talking about how we hadn't posted up many SEQ trips lately and need to up our game a bit. Definitely keep an eye on this thread as we'll try to get them in here. I'm just confirming details now about a fraser trip but I think it'll be the weekend before your holidays so that may be a no-go for you but we'll still be trying to get into a few more.

Thanks guys, im planning the birdsville trip. Should be fun, cant wait. Will be keeping my eye out for anything else that pops up in the future.

I just missed the steak night, i would come along if its on a weekend night.
