Has anybody made a call to the Ranger to find out if we are allowed?
I would do so but I'm back on-site at the moment which makes it a bit hard.
The last time I went to The Alkimos Ship wreck we ended up going in at higher point as the Rangers were issuing hefty fines for trespassers on the beach.
Yep just spoken to the ranger in Gin Gin Shire and it is not a problem driving allong thou's dirt roads and beaches between Yanchep and Guilderton . All he said that we are not allowed to open any gates or cut fences. But other than that he said that the beach is soft and the dunes steep. Going in from Yanchep is a no go thats what the wanneroo shire said.

I also asked about Guilderton and he said that we are only allowed to withing 200 mtrs of the moore river mouth with the 4wd's.Then we will have to get back onto the bitumen and go throu Guilderton to the groin by the light house tracks then we will be fine from there to seabird. Basically that front beach or moore river mouth area is out of bounds.

Was just having a yak to Marty and he reckons they've fenced off a lot of the access tracks around Two Rocks ...... so I figure Wilbinga Rd is the way to go.
BTW ... Marty reckons he should be able to make it too.
"Soft sand - steep dunes" - we are novices and don't want to wreck anyones day - we do have the recovery gear but limited experience - should we postpone

Does that mean that we dont actually get to do a river crossing? I thought that we would actually cross the Moore river at some point.
Can Only cross the Moore River on the bitumen ,unless some one else know a different way to get to Guilderton . But the Ranger did specify No 4wd on the beach adjacent the town .
