Yep .... must have filled one of the beads up with sand.

Didn't notice it until the water crossing ... when the kids were pointing at the wheel and telling me it had bubbles of air coming out of it.

I'll drop it in to the tyre place tomorrow and get them to re-seat it.

I heard a few complaints that the rim protector added to BFGs several years ago make it easier for sand to get in between the bead when you let them down a bit.

I am not sure if this is the hill you are talking about Fishnut but if it is then most of us made it up although it did take me a few attempts.

Yep ... we used your waypoints and went to One Tree Hill first .... it was a bit tight ... but all 15 cars got through. We went North to South .... and it was probably easier that way .... we copped most of the gnarly bits going downhill :lol: :lol: :lol:

Hi All,
Well went down to Frontrunner 4x4 Monday and told them my Shocking news......ha ha also showed them the Shockie . The first coment was that they have never seen this thing happen to a toughdog shock before......So after a couple phone calls to Toughdogs head quarters the call was made to cut the outer protective boot off and see what went wrong. Well he did not have to go to far before he found what had happened............The piston retaining nut had come undone :shock: ......Therefor allowing it to over extend and obviously not go back down correctly.
Another phone call to Toughdog to tell them the news and as the shocks where under 2 yrs old there where replaced with upgraded 40mm bore adjustables.
So a win to the good guys once again.
Vic recons that the new shocks are just great and now can rest easy and can take her protective bump hat off.

But I just also found out the other day that I will now have to sell the Prado as the Caravan is more that the towable limit for the car ....mind you the V6 prado towed it fantastic and felt fine......
But it looks like we will have to buy a 100series or nissan ( 3500kg's ) .......prefer the first choose thou......but see what we get.
still hopen to do a few day trips with you guys before we leave WA.
