WA PradoPoint Australian 4WD Action Photo Shoot

Hi all,

I have been talking with Tyce Clee, Web Editor & Custom 4WD Co-ordinator from Australian 4WD Action about holding a day trip for one of their photo journalists to be able to attend to take photo's of our group out and about in the bush. They would like to maybe do some mini features on some of our cars if they are deemed worthy of the hallowed halls of 4WD Action Magazine.

I though I'd put it out there for suggestions on where we could go and how many people would like to be involved in the shoot?

I am awaiting some confirmation and dates as to when this could happen so there is nothing firm at this stage.

I will also need to submit some pictures and details of some of the more 'modified' vehicles of the group so if you feel your rig is worthy then forward pics and mods onto me at [email protected]

Feel free to offer any suggestions or ideas...

It is not uncommon to have 10 to 16 tastily modified vehicles on a day trip and 10 or so over a weekender. I am continually surprised by the diversity of our group and the comradery of the people involved. As with all 4x4 clubs we have some real characters and I‘m sure there would be more than 1 or 2 great stories that could be told. I am also of the belief that we could take you along some amazing tracks with some awesome off-road scenery and challenges along the way and maybe with a quiet meal at a quaint little tavern at the end of the day.

Can you send me some updated photos and a list of modifications you’ve made to the Prado? Also, any other vehicles in your club that you think we could be interested in I’m more than happy for you to email photos, modifications and contact details through to see if it’s suitable for a photo shoot.

Are you guys heading on a club trip any time soon? We might be able to get a photographer to tag along and take some photos for the mag, I’m sure they’d love the tracks and meals you’re describing!

We have also been fortunate, thanks to a lot of help from Trent, to have secured a 3 page spread in 4WD Action to occur after the GTG next year. Brendan Seymour the assistant editor had this to say:

I haven't yet put any real thought into where we could go but I know we could always use the tried and true Fawcett Track etc as there is plenty of variety out that way and we could always end up back at the Tavern for a feed again! MMMmmmmmmmm those wedges and sour cream with sweet chilli sauce are calling me....

Post up some ideas peoples.... Otherwise I'll have to let Chippy loose again!

That Fawcet track could be good, couple of water crossings etc, and a nice pub backdrop for a finish.

Or staples line, then Harvey-Quindanning road for the same finish line???

All depends on how long the camera guy can tag along for?

Yep, I'm thinking the destination will definately have to be the Quindanning Pub...

Meet point at Dwellinup Info centre/Train Station touristy thingo.. Could make a good back drop for some pics infront of the steam loco's too.

C'Mon people.... Send some pics of your rigs with a list of mods through to me so I can get them through to Tyce and see if we can get a photographer. And YES that does mean you Chippy!!
