  • TRIP REPORT : My Prado and mates Lux find mud in Dargo

Just spent the weekend in Dargo with a mate.
Didn't have any particular plan other than to find some mud. Ended up doing a heap of river crossings, did Billy Goats Bluff with ease and found some good bog holes.
Wouldn't have made it through without the winch and a snatch em strap though!
I'll let the pictures do the talking.

    View from somewhere up high

One of the many river crossings (mates Hilux)

One of the heli landing spots

Quick photo taken on Billy Goats Bluff

    Found some snow there

Mate got stuck good there. Ended up having about 6" of water around his feet! Pulled himself out with the winch though, no damage except some wet carpet

He then proceded to get stuck here as well, but I snatched him out

And mine nice and dirty near the end of the trip

yeh there was a fair bit of water around after some decent rain the previous days.

My mate was running an oldish Warn 9000lb and I'm running an Ironman 9500lb

none at all and they were both completely submerged for maybe 10 seconds in one particular river crossing. haven't worked them hard enough to cause excessive heat. longest winch only took about 30 seconds
