Thats a long drive each day Hoppy, your better off staying 2 nights, have a rest. Enjoy the area as its one of the best South Coast camping areas. Go to the caves etc. Just my thoughts. I used to got there every Easter with the Suzuki 4wd club towing the Cub camper with my Vitara. We always prayed for no rain, as it makes an interesting exit out of the valley. One year we got stuck big time, had to camp on the track and wait for the rain to stop.

      Zook

I have been into the Bendethera Valley twice before camping with friends.

I know if its raining it can be "slippery when wet" coming back out, but the first time I drove in was in my wifes Landrover Freelander  ! And..... it was pouring with rain when we woke up in our sleeping bags on the morning we had to leave. The "all-wheel-drive" Frebbie didn't have much trouble at all with the traction control engaged and we got out of there with minimal slipping and sliding on the extremely slimy road out. We had a friend with us in a Hilux that time incase we needed snatching.

But I take your point, you have to be careful you don't get stuck in there if its raining. As for the time, I thought it took us 4 hours to drive in and 4 hours out, from memory! It has been about 2 years since I was last there.

Just in case you didn't notice, my trip report for Bendethera Valley:

I'd have to agree, keep an eye out for rain. If it does rain then a possible route out would be via Dampier NP towards Snowball, although, this might mean a long way back home.
