    TRIP REPORT (pg.2) : Newnes State Forest

    We are confirmed for Sunday, March 21st for this trip

    Our destination will be Newnes State Forest near Lithgow. As the Boomslang crew haven't been there before, we might check out some of the sights plus drive some nice tracks :wink: Probably go to Lost City, check out the aboriginal hand stencils, Sunnyside lookout, Birds Rock etc.

    Of course, the usual trip disclaimer applies:

    Meeting at: McDonald's at Richmond; cnr March & Market Sts. at 7:30am, departing around 7:45-8am. From there we'll travel up Bells Line of Road to the Zig Zag railway carpark, Sydney side of Lithgow.


    Bring: Prado, morning tea, lunch, camera, sense of adventure!


    UHF channel: 17 this is to avoid interference from the mine sites in the area who use Ch 16.

    Cant make it after the 15th of March.

    Will be too busy with renovations/moving house.

    Im sure it will be a fantastic day though...Glenn's trips are always great!

              OK we'll confirm this trip for March 21st. All we need to do is work out a destination. I was thinking Newnes State Forest as you guys haven't been there before I think :?: & it's the closest forest to Sydney. Lots of sightseeing & driving adventures there :!: Check out some of the previous trip reports & let me know if you're interested in going there. The other forests are out the other side of Lithgow & further to travel but can certainly go there if you want.

                Newnes sounds good to me. I know Panda has camped there before but the tracks will be "never seen before footage"

                  OK we'll make it Newnes State Forest. We'll do a bit of sightseeing around the place if the weather's good on the day. Plenty of great tracks to check out also :!:
