    Re: Next NSW day trip

    Hi Glenn,
I've been thinking of making another trip to Newnes in the next few weeks but we always make a weekend of it and camp in the campground up near the old ruins.
I'd be happy to join in if you decide to head that way again as I sill haven't explored all the tracks myself.
Probably have a couple of other friends with me as well with their cars and we'd be happy to have some more company if anyone is keen to share a few beers around the fire Saturday night.
    Cheers,
    Pete.

      Hi Glen,
We are interested in a day trip however we have to work around the wife being on call. We went to the glow worn tunnel on Easter Monday although no 4WDing apart from getting into the carpark
I'll wait and see what dates get thrown up and see if we can make it.

        Hi Glenn,

I've got this weekend and next weekend off work so either would suit me.

                Re: Next NSW day trip

Just been studying the Meadow Flat topo map; the western side of Sunny Cnr just above Yetholme looks interesting, couple of trig points at Mt. Ovens may be worth checking out. Maybe meet you at Yetholme :?:

                  Re: Next NSW day trip

Yeah if you wanted to meet at the servo at Yetholme that could be the easiest spot to meet up. What time, 9-9:30ish seeing as you've got a bit more of a drive to get there?

OK the servo at Yetholme sounds good, I reckon 9:30 would be about right as it would be about 2 hours from Richmond Macca's.

Is that servo on the Gt Western Hwy :?:

No worries Pete, post up when you're going out there if you like & could meet up with you. We were at the ruins last December with some overseas visitors, nice area although I've been there so many times now it's getting a bit boring  Plenty of great tracks though back in the forest
