Anyone up for a day trip on the Sunday? (18th)

Meet at the Dayboro Bakery...
Time - 9:45 for 10am departure.
Duration - as long as you want... most of the arvo.
Standard - Easy/Exploration
UHF - start on 16 when we leave the bakery.

Hi all,

I thought I'd post this up and see if any of you folk are interested.

My cat and kitten (wife and daughter) are going away soon so this mouse is off to play
It's been too long since I've sat around a campfire so a mate and myself are going for a couple of nights up at Mt Mee.

I finish work at about 3:30pm on Saturday the 17th April so I'll be heading up to either Archers Camp ground or Neurum Creek Camp ground and setting up late Saturday afternoon and heading home sometime on Monday the 19th.
My plan is to sit and relax, do a bit of photography and go for a couple of 4wd explorations.

This is not an official Pradopoint camping trip... there is no set criteria... but you're more than welcome to join me around the campfire or even just for a day drive on the Sunday.

Ahhhhhhhh!

I've promised myself (and she who matters most) to finish some overdue painting this past and next weekend. Finished what I needed to this past weekend and alas will be finishing the job next weekend. After that, I'll be out to play again.

Doh, Doh Doh... :cry:

Oh well, who would have thought three dogs could be such a hassle. Three dogs for three nights in a kennel adds up when you're trying to get away for a cheap camping trip.
Not to mention I forgot about Kennel Cough and all those other things they need before they can go into a kennel

Oh well, I wont be going camping now :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:


BUT... I still want to go for a drive on the Sunday... anyone up for a day drive to dusty Mt Mee :?:

Mt Mee on Sunday eh ?

I might just be up for that (it being just down the road and all).

How serious a drive were you planning ? My Prado is completely stock at the moment and as far as off-road goes, I'd place myself very much in the novice category.

How serious a drive were you planning ? My Prado is completely stock at the moment and as far as off-road goes, I'd place myself very much in the novice category.

The trip will be rated easy. Hope to see you there. Just have to see if Snaga agree with the 10am meeting time.

10am sounds fine to me... no reason we have to start at the crack of dawn.
No real time line for me now... I almost have all of next week without work after a few cancellations/postponements...
If it wasn't for these damn dogs I'd be spending the entire week camping somewhere :mrgreen:

Nothing too challenging... although you can usually find a side track on most of our drives if you ever want to challenge yourself or the car.
We'll have a bit of an explore up the north end of Mt Mee and then maybe finish the day with a few of the southern trails that we know well.

The rate I'm going I might end up pitching the tent in the backyard and lighting the brazier

Which beach would you go to?

Quick run Bribie, however haven't been for a while not sure of conditon, full day run DI point, freshwater track in, kings bore track out and back down the beach and home.
