Kelvin, High tide is 4.36pm, so i would think we would need to be off the beach 3-3.30 at the latest. That normally depands on how flat the beach is and i have not been up there for quite some time.

Gee,s cannot believe that date.My wife and myself and a few friends are going up for 4 days starting on the 21st.We have had it planed for 5 weeks.Your last day trip ended up being on one of our planded 4day trips as well.Anyway have a good trip may see you guys around,like last time you guys do stand out a bit I could see you coming up the beach from the rocks a the point. I'll also be a starter for this trip. You can put me down also.
I plan to already be up there like last time.
I'll head up Friday night and camp the weekend, then join you all when the cavalry comes rolling through on Sunday morning.

Please add me as a tentative, I may be involved in a Cub Camp but if not I will be there.

I will confirm closer to the date, are we doing more ice-cream?

Have you got an idea of which way in you'll go?

In at the Noosa North Shore cuttings and then north along the beach or is the Cooloola Way/Kings Bore track being factored in?

It depends on how many cars we have in the convoy. At this stage, it is most likely the latter option.

It depends on how many cars we have in the convoy. At this stage, it is most likely the latter option.

As Kelvin said, depends oin Numbers and we did say family friendly, so mwe don't want to be driving all day.

Probably three options as high tide is 4.30pm and departure is 8.30 for 9.

1. Drive up to Noosa north shore, cross on the ferry drive up the beach maybe go across to the rainbow side via the leisha track and set up camp for a few hours let the kids run wild and head home back down the beach.
2. the same as above however go home via the freshwater track and then down the Cooloola way and onto the highway home.
3. Drive up the Cooloola way, head across to the beach via the King Bore track( will need to stop halfway for the kids)
which will have us up on the beach around lunch time, spend a few hours their and head home via the beach and the ferry.

Option 1&2 will obviously be a little bit more driving.

Just some ideas for people to think about, nothing is set in concrete.

I'm just trying to fit this drive in with a visit to some friends who will be on the Sunny Coast.

If we manage to make it we'll probably catch up with you all at the ferry or Cooloola way... which ever is decided.

OK, so we've moved from a definite maybe to a definite

I took my chances with a wotif 'Mystery hotel' so we didn't have to drive home on Sunday and back to the Sunny Coast on Monday... Novotel Twin Waters... should keep the missus happy after a day off the beaten track :mrgreen:

Are we planning on visiting Rainbow Beach at all or should we be self sufficient for lunch.
