Almost missed this one as well. Been busy as of late.
Chippy, couldn't agree more, long overdue.
3 - 4 if the missus isn't working! and only if I dont need to be at a post fire season conference in Perth driving the rodeo
so, my attendance is tentative.
Buggar! Over here in WA at the moment - sans Pearlie - and flying back to Qld on 23rd
You WAPPers seem to have all the fun! Hope it all goes really well and muddy!
You're here for a good time, not a long time... Love my Prado...
Hey guys,
Anyone know what the tracks are like. We would love to come but our Prado is still standard. Dont want to waste time out there and ruin everyones day if we are getting stuck. I saw pics of the last trip out there and it looked pretty full on. We might have to settle for the beginners run next time.
have a great run today Chippy,i will be waiting anxiously for the piccies to see what we are up for next weekend

Well ... as its all been burnt off recently most of the morning was spent looking at these ....
We did manage to clear a lot of tracks though.
Once we got into the Pine Plantation proper the tracks got better .... and lumpier.
.... and what a fantastic spot to have lunch ...
In a nutshell ..... its dry and lumpy.
A lot of the trip is on good quality gravel fire trails.
Up in the Pine Plantation it gets steeper and lumpier.
Clearance is necessary as most of the tracks have had drains dug across them in preparation for the winter.
... and the long range forecast says we're in for a bonus .... RAIN.
The clay up there is just waiting for some rain ..... then the tracks will become a little slick.
Thanks for a great day out, it was good to catch up, hope all the PP's have a great day next sunday.
Hope to catch up with you all next time.

Hrm...as much as it pains me to say, I think I'm out for this sunday.
Some numpty reversed into my rear driver side door on saturday night (it was parked) - all insured and his fault (bloody patrols), but doubt a medium core 4wd trip is what the doctor (panel beater) ordered.
To add insult to injury, because of all the hail damaged work around, the earliest it can get fixed is at the start of june (about 3 days before we head to the kimberley).
Anyway, have fun all
