      Hi Chippy,

if the rain does not hit to badly how do you reckon worn grandcraps would go? Not promissing anything but as we have an outing on Saturday night I may be able to earn some brownie points.

Bugger... looks like the list is getting smaller. Unfortunatly Chris and I have to pull out of this trip as well.. Have to float 19 horses to a horse show. Could think of much better ways to spend my day!!!

Re: Sun May 23rd - WA : Harvey Dam day trip

          I will be there.

Got back from sydney yesterday so dont know if we have had any rain of biblical proportions in the area.

          Should be fun either way.

          Jeff.
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

Dam that looks like a top trip would love to go but our prado is still over east  we could see how far our rental corolla can go . One day hopefully we will be able to make a trip.

Is it too late to add one more...?

I'm sure I saw something about a stock standard prado being required to smooth some tracks...

It will get a bit greasy but still do-able. You should have seen the baby Pajero we got through there last time

Good news Jeff. While not quite biblical there has been some moisture.

Should be no worries Mike. The exit points from Harvey Dam are all really easily accessible and we're never that far away.

It should be no probs to duck off whenever you need to.

someone has been busy. nice work chippy.

Had some decent heavy falls this morning. I am about an hours drive from the dam so it could have been different up there.

Had a very mixed bag of a day, Helped a mate buy a 150 Went looking at Furniture took longer to get home than expected Pam spent the rest of the afternoon making Lasagna for the evening out only to discover it is next Saturday night.

So now she is moving furniture around and I am trying to stay out of her way

Doesn't look like we will get to make it tomorrow, looking forward to the pics.

As for the furniture shopping loved the Lazy boy chair with the subwoofer in the base, talk about good vibrations

Re: Sun May 23rd - WA : Harvey Dam day trip

                            Well, I'm speechless......

                            Here we are, last night...

Fuel - Check, Oil - Check, lunch - check, kids - check, fridge - check, recovery gear - check.

                            All is good to go

Wake up this morning, shower, brekky, kids ready, wife ready for work, go outside to garage, open car, get in, turn key, radio comes on, dash lights, crank engine......... silence.

No prior hints of it giving up. Taking out the mulimeter reveals a cool engine cranking 7.2V which is ideal for the cordless drill I guess but not to wake the Tojo.

The prado's battery has ceased to live. So inspite of everything being ready, the prado wasn't interested in waking up this morning, so naturally, I wasn't able to come to Harvey! (not paying the prices for a battery that the Servo's wanted)
Spose it could've been worse, could''ve happened after lunch in the middle of the bush.

Anyway Guys, I look forward to the photos.. I hope everyone has a great time, especially after yesterdays rain.
Chippy, I sent you an SMS to let you know, hope you got it so you weren't waiting for me.

Waiting in anticipation for the next trip

Terry (with latest Prado improvement - new battery)

                              Fantastic fun day out.

Many thanks to all those who joined in and contributed to what makes WA the place to be

A little bit of rain over the past couple of days had made a few slight changes to the terrain .....

..... and added a whole lot more fun.

I've only had a chance to flick through some of the 500 pics Andre took ..... and here's a sample ....

Now I'm off to clean my car ....

                              Cheers
                              Chippy
