I also agree that splitting into smaller and more manageable groups is the way to go (five or six per group?) - and then a lunch meet in an open space, not nose-to-tail parking on a track.

Also like the idea of a tech day... Maybe do something practical tech oriented (I need winching experience...) in the morning, have lunch, bitch about Nissans and then hit more tracks and venture home from there.

Lerderderg/Wombat is a good destination and has places like O'Brien's Crossing or Firth Park for a lunch meet.

hey tech day would be great never done winch or snatch.

there is some great stuff in wombat if l look out for a beginners tracks and and experience tracks for the mud lovers would that be ok and meet up in the middle in a park somewhere.

there is some tough stuff starting from bacchus marsh area in and there is some easyier but not whimpy stuff starting from dalysford ballan road so then 2 groups each end work way into middle and meet for lunch then maybe all together arfter lunch for some fun????
l am only new but will see what l can do if thats what everyone wants?????

plus if ya want snow lake mountian is meant to be nice and ya dont need chains can have a family day ............

I reckon a weekend trip up to Licola would be good.
Or even a day trip up Bunyip State Park. We know a few good tracks up there, although a couple need muddies because I wouldnt dare doing them with the Grandcraps. :lol:

Most of the tracks up from Licola are now closed for the winter.
In from Wallhalla is a good options as a lot of the tracks are open all winter up there (And I will probably do another weekend in there sometime in the next few months and would be happy for anyone to join in - just have to work it around going up to Coff's at the end of June for the week to do as many tracks as we can around that area )
Another good area for a long weekend is around the Mitchel river, but that is further away...
For a snow trip Mt Skene is the way to go, but it must be run as a 4wd club trip as the road is closed to the general public now

If you do another day trip out east, I will really really try hard to come (sorry, I had to help a friend move house ) Having been on most of the tracks in the area over the years, I can point out a few good ones and also open areas for lunch etc.
Another good day trip is Tallarook up north of Melb. Nice little park with some really nice tracks (and some challanging ones as well if desired) and several open areas for lunch

Hi again to those that went on the Toolangi Trip.
I know I should've taken my own camera, but just wondering/hoping there are some more pics/vids of the day out???

I didn't take many photo's as i only had the Iphone but here they are anyway. The keys banging get a bit annoying on the second video.

Hello fellow Vic PPers, were there any other photos or video footage that anyone knows of of the day that has been put up somewhere else? Also, when's the next trip? I was up in Bunyip State Park for the first time last weekend and had a great time.....except for the rear bar damage! :?
