Last time I went through Upper Ormeau, half of it had been recently graded. So it could range from easy to moderate level of 4WD'ing, with options to go harder if you have the recovery gear to match your enthusiasm. Reedy Creek can get chopped up by the weather, motorcyclists, and other 4WDers. It changes all the time, and offers moderate to difficult levels of 4WD'ing.

- Time: 9:00am for a 9:30am departure[/*:m:16zhllg1]
- UHF: Channel 16[/*:m:16zhllg1]
- Plan: Start at Northern Trail Head at Upper Ormeau. Take a casual couple of hours heading South through the tracks, then rejoin the hwy traffic to arrive at Reedy Creek trail head for a couple more hours. Finish off the afternoon at Burleigh Heads headland for fish-n-chips and/or one of the local bars or SLSC. Bring morning tea.[/*:m:16zhllg1]
