    • Hi Dave,

Yeah I'm still up for a trip if there's interest. What sort of track difficulty are you happy with? Little to no air time (ie little to no locker action), Air time with little to no scraping/bouncing, or hard core?

      • Hi Declan,

Option 2 sounds good and see how the day goes. Hopefully the lift will be in by then, so more fun can be had and the Toyota bash plates wont get hit as much as normal.

        • Hey Declan, I'm pretty sure Dave doesn't have a lift in yet !!

          I probably won't make the 26th.
          3rd/4th definitely out.

I'm saving for the 10/11th hardcore rock crawl at Wheeny.

          • Hi Dave,
I have a few idea's for where we could go. Believe it or not, I have never visited the Glowworm Tunnel, so what are your thoughts on checking that out. I don't want to trek all the way down there if every one else has already seen it.

Glen, I'm out for the 26th too.

            • Hi Declan,

I have never been to Newnes myself either but have wanted to get there for some time, so I am happy to have a look around.

All is looking good for bar and lift to be done next week, so hopefully that will give the sump guard an easier life for a little while

              • Well there's plenty to do and see at Newnes, just not enough hours in a day.

Nice work on the suspension and bar

Hi glen, newby here but I was thinking of heading out to wheeny that weekend, either day. Was going solo but would love to tag along if its ok as I'm from the dark side and have a patrol.

                  • I was thinking that it wouldn't go astray to have a Patrol or 2 in the convoy for recovery duties/entertainment.

Tell us more about your rig Ben.

I dont think you guys will need recovery. Your prado's have some advantages over the Patrol.

Mine is a diesel GQ, has a snorkel, bit of lift and some MTZ's, other than that it is standard.

You better not look at my rig build thread then. I was oh so close to ditching the Prado and starting a GQ build!

                          • Hey guys my home internet died the other day so my responses will be limited. Won't be back up till next week

Ben/Sako is right, we don't need a Patrol anymore, not with my monster ;p (and a winch for backup). But... I've been known to hang out with (recover) Patrols so don't mind recovering another one if I haaave to.

                            Ben,
How much lift and what size tyres? Have you been to the rock crawling wheeny track before?

                                I have 3"lift and 33's.

You are talking about Gee's arm south right?? If so I have done it about 12 months ago in my last car. Its a good track, would be good to see how it has changed.

I am out for Sunday though, so if you guys are going on Sunday have a good day and maybe see you on the next one.

                                Ben
