  • Hey spitfire.. how about wheeny creek? Would definitely give your winch a workout Last time we took the boomslang team there they used the winch 6 times.

EDIT: ohh you don't have good rubber yet. Maybe not.

            • I'm heading to Newnes/Zig Zag this Sunday to show a friend around the scenic spots, glow worm tunnel (the short walk). I'll be fitting some 4x4ing into it as well, particularly that steep rocky track opposite the lost city. If there's interest I'll post a trip thread...

I'm a possible Glen, will let you know. May have to mind the little one though.

I do still enjoy the easy stuff too btw.

Cool. You can bring the little one can't you?

Yeah easy stuff is good, less vehicle stress, more enjoyment of the surroundings. As long as I get to do one challenging side track I'm happy For this Sunday, that track will be the 100m of rock-steps opposite lost city. It's a dead end track, so entirely optional for others.

Hopefully Glenn can point me towards some other key spots I've been meaning to see for a loooong time.

                      • Anyone know how long the walk takes, from plateau carpark, throught the tunnel, to the the cliffs, and return? Apparently it's 4km. I could estimate 2 hours...

I could but I would end up holding you all up, having to stop and get him out so he isn't bored, i.e., crying. As I don't think spending most of the day in the car is his idea of fun (only 8 months old)

                          • its all down hill on the way in and up hill on the way out. and if you are going through the tunnel its pitch black and has a small stream running through it so pick ya track and watch the ankles.
