I'm keen to join you guys this time round if that is ok?
The last trip you went on looked like fun. Don't mind where or when just let me know.....

I've been having severe 4wd withdrawal symptoms since my usual trip buddy recently left to tour Australia for the next year or two.

I did a trip years ago starting from the eastern side of Sunny Corner SF & then headed north going through Turon National Park & coming out at Capertee. I'm sure that trip is listed in one of the 4wd Trips Around Sydney books. We could do that if you like :?:

At this stage I won't be available for another trip until towards the end of the month. Unless the plane breaks down again, which is always a possibility :roll: in which case I'll be able to come to along to any trips if I'm around.

I'd be enrolling in a crash course of parachuting for beginners :P

Tell me about it Pete, just when you think nothing else can go wrong it does! I was due to fly up to Port Macquarie a couple of weeks ago but we had to abort take-off when a gauge failed, and then this morning one of the other guys was heading up when they got 30 mins out of Bathurst and heard a loud bang from the left engine :shock: so they had to turn around and head back. Waiting to hear the exact cause of the problem, we think some sort of bearings or a gearbox issue. We were due to put two new engines into it in a few weeks time anyway so I think it'll be out of action until then.

End result, looks like I could be free for a trip this Sunday

I may be committed elsewhere for Sunday by the looks now; but if I am available will definitely come along for a day out. Jeff have you any ideas of where to go? Watagans as Piet suggested would be good but a long way for you though.
