  • If the Watagans is a mud prone spot like I'm led to believe, it'd be pretty irresponsible to go there after the recent weather.

(I usually consider Newnes to be a very hard packed surface, resiliant to mud, but it's very soft ATM.)

I STILL haven't been there, but don't think I'm free this weekend.

Is there any good spots to camp in there?

        • Glen, the area out at Sunny Corner is huge.........it's State Forest so camping out is no prob for those who can. We haven't even scratched the surface there in previous trips!

Should be reports up on the forum there from a year or two back ....loads of pics & vids.
          Cheers,
          Glenn

              • Will definately be different Glen then been at home with all the comforts lol. I reckon easier at that age as they pretty much eat, sleep and sh#t especailly if in a rutine like we have, then like ours she started walking at 9 months, holy shit some times wish she was still in the playpen lol. Now shes 4 (turned 4 today) thinks shes 14. Make the most of it, feels like it was only yesterday she was a baby. Starts Kindy next year, the time flys but all worth it. Havnt had our little one camping yet so will see how we go over easter, but shes a good sleeper except when the birds start chirping at her window early tends to stir her. Sleeps 11/12 hours a night, normally in bed by 7.30/8pm. Some times we let her stay up till 9 ish on friday/sat night but then she will sleep till 9 to 10am. Were probably lucky compared to some but must say a rutine is so good, cant keep it every day of the week but where we can we do.........Cheers Steve

We will more than likely be over the western side of the forest to check out the lookouts over towards Bathurst & try to locate an old gold mine in the area. Glen_ep will be way over at Turon National Park & coming back down to that hillclimb so I doubt we'll have time to get over there.

So there will be 2 destination options at Sunny Corner on Sunday by the looks if Glen is open to that!

Anthony (and anyone else) let me know for sure if you want to go with my group, which is only 1 other vehicle atm, possibly 2.
                              Cheers,
                              Glenn
