I'm super keen to use the air locker and Sydney's weather forecast looks good so far with Friday and Saturday mostly sunny and a possible late shower on Sunday!
              Cheers, Brad

DGW (Dave) mentioned he was interested in a possible trip this weekend up there in post #899.

                  • I've been stinging for a Watagans run for ages but I think the recent rain has made it a no go zone for anything with less than 38's. Can anyone confirm this?

                        • Still keen for the weekend as I finally have a weekend with no work, no commitments except feeding the dog (easy fixed).

I have my name down for a trip to the Watagan's on the 4wd action forum on Saturday, saw it as a chance to find my way around there again as I haven’t been up there for over 6 years. See what happens.

Must admit, a little concerned with all the rain recently as I went for a drive on Saturday on a couple of main dirt roads, purely to test the new tyres, and it was very slippery. Rather amusing watching a couple in a Magna coming down a slight hill, sought refuge as far off the road as I could get.

There are a huge amount of tracks up there, just a matter of looking around and seeing how it goes, never know where you will finish up. That said, we need to make sure we are not going to rip up the tracks. Either way, it will be very muddy, very slippery and at this stage, a sunny weekend.

One other option, Stockton. All the rain will certainly have compacted the sand.....

                          • I was up there on sunday and it was very very slippery mud. We slid into a drain :???: of the side of the track going down from heaton look out... we were also talking to a group with a few patrols and cruisers they all had 4ich plus under them and 35-37 inch tyres. They said it was a joke how slippery it was too them 5 hrs just to do 1 500m track and they were all covered from head to toe in mud.

My wife and i would be very interseted if stockton was going to be the go.? much nicer and much much less cleaning to do on sunday
