It was pretty hairy and a Patrol driver nearly died, but tying a snatch strap between his chassis and a tree stump to stop the Triton from rolling, we managed to guide him back down.Declan: 1997 GXL 4.5 Auto 80 series on LPG, ARB bullbar, 2" OME lift, 32" MTZ, GME UHF, rear ARB locker, Kaymar spare wheel carrier

Thanks everyone!
Nah Prado accessories are still on hold ATM. The baby will move about in our recently acquired Forester anyway. Nice car for the mum, and it has the stock pullover cargo cover. Should be fine as long as the heavy tools/gear stay in the 4x4Originally posted by williade View PostCongrats Glen. A cargo barrier is in order, to go along with the baby capsule in the Prado I'm guessing

Congrats Glen on your bubs, hope mum and bubs is doing fine. Can I just say YOU WILL need a barrier in the prado even for one, as I know LOL. Hi chair, portable cot, clothes for a week even thou your only going for a day, pram, her space ship she will sit in with all the squeaky things hanging off it (the best for keeping them busy), toys, nappys, then you start on what you and the other half take, waeco full of refreshments, THeeeen they turn 2, ha ha ha ha, then you need roof rack as well, still take the pram, portable cot, drop the high chair and in its place are, scoooter, bike with training wheels, etc lololol and heaps more clothes as they can actually run into the mud quicker then you can catch them lol. Enjoy it you will love it, dont miss a thing or it will be gone before you know it.Face lift 150 Prado V6 auto. No mods yet

Is any one free for a trip this weekend?
I'm thinking Newnes again.
Last Sunday we explored one of the tracks starting on the Lost City trail and ending on black fellows hand trail (BFHT) and then we followed the power lines track running parallel to BFHT. We encountered several sets of wombat holes I hadn't seen yet. There is a section where there is no chicken trail around the wombat holes so it may not be a good idea to take stock vehicles there. glen_ep would enjoy them when he's free next

I should be able to make Sunday Declan, hopefully the weather will be OK, showers are predicted atm so we'll see what happens.
We did a trip covering almost the whole length of the powerlines track similar to what you did last Sunday in January '10, trip report here:
http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ewnes-SF/page3
We drove several other tracks including Beecroft which is a good one
Cheers,

Beecroft fire trail sounds good.
Glenn, do you remember where the front diff wombat holes are? The ones next to the kav mud bog. We were hoping to find them on Sunday but had no luck

If I have my bearing correct, the front diff wombat holes aren't too far from the the north side of Farmers Creek Dam. Maybe we could check out some of those tracks? Last time we went there, I was able to climb down and walk on the dam wall.
Shall I post up a trip report?Declan: 1997 GXL 4.5 Auto 80 series on LPG, ARB bullbar, 2" OME lift, 32" MTZ, GME UHF, rear ARB locker, Kaymar spare wheel carrier

I fitted the plate today. I was quoted $350 initially, but they gave it to me for $300. They though I was from pradopoint which I kind of am, but they must gave been talking with another pp member over the phone and thought it was me....
Truth be told I didn't read about them on the forum but saw they had bash plates for 90s on their own website.Declan: 1997 GXL 4.5 Auto 80 series on LPG, ARB bullbar, 2" OME lift, 32" MTZ, GME UHF, rear ARB locker, Kaymar spare wheel carrier

This Sat I'm heading south to the Moss Vale district, to meet up with lockedup, and explore Meryla S/F. I might also check out Jellore SF afterwards to serach for a well known powerline climb.
If anyone else is interested, reply here, and I'll make a trip plan.
EDIT: Declan, you're attendance is expected!
