  • Thanks digger, looks like fun! I'm not sure if my rig could take on those tracks but I'd certainly like to see them

    • Glen sugarloaf caters for every type of driving. I used to ride my motorbike through there when i was 15-16. Lots of good tracks to travel, plus there is the watagans just across road... A friend of mine with a 60 is keen to get it to suggy and the watagans to explore as he has never been up there.

We organised a trip ourselves along the Womerah Range track a couple of years ago, the only thing is we have to pay NP for the privilige but it's the only way to get through those locked gates!
There are some good trips on the Autumn Discovery program atm but as usual they get booked out very quick. Spoke to Mark at Central Coast NP today who organises these things & he did say that we can still organise a private tagalong depending on the availability of the volunteer rangers. Gotta pay for it of course. There's a trip in June starting from the St Albans area following one of the powerlines tracks & then joining up with the Old Great North Rd. which is a trip I haven't been on before; would be a good one I reckon. Again it was booked out in no time flat though!
Another excellent trip is along the "Eastern Commission Track" as they call it through Dharug NP. Done that one a couple of times & is thoroughly enjoyable. These trips are not hardcore trips by the way; more sightseeing & checking out the Aboriginal & early European settlement history. Great for a family day out.
Info on the area Glen...we did a trip on the Womerah Range Track; that's "Heartbreak Hill" by the way,

Thanks for the info. At the Heartbreak Hill campground, is there a creek?

                    • Just a reminder that anyone can post up a trip or at least an expression of interest for one

If you would like to go to a particular area, or even are available for a trip anywhere & have a date in mind, post it up & if other folks are free & would like to join you then post up a new topic!

Of course you are then automatically allocated the title of Trip Leader

Would be good to hear from some other PP members for a change instead of the usual suspects
                      Cheers,
                      Glenn

And I will add; for those that are hessitant to actually lead a trip, I don't mind doing it, *IF* I can make the date.

                        • Watagan's, this Saturday, 12th of May. Thinking about heading to the area around Mt Warrawolong, if I can get some company.

If there’s any interest I will put a trip up.
