NSW: Sunday July 4th: Lidsdale State Forest

We are confirmed for a day out to Lidsdale SF on July 4th All PP members are welcome to attend; of course the usual trip disclaimer applies:

Destination: Lidsdale State Forest/Marrangaroo National Park areas just west of Lithgow.

Meeting at: McDonalds at Richmond, cnr of March & Market Sts. at 7:30am, departing around 7:45 am

Bring: Prado, morning tea, lunch, camera, warm clothing, (it'll be cold!), sense of adventure

UHF channel 19

Attendees: Gh4wd, JeffH, luked


Jeff, can you meet us at the usual entrance to the forest there at Link Rd, should be there around 9:30am :wink:

I'm pretty close to the M4/M7 junction - good location to drive in any direction, but I still need to allow 2 hours to get over the Mts with this truck.

A meet time of 9am will keep me in the game. If that doesn't suit, I can always go another time.

Richmond macca's is the usual meeting place for the Sydney folks when we head out Lithgow way :wink: All details are on the 1st post.

Today is day 32 without the Boomslangmobile, only 30 more to go. I won't be able to make it. Remember to take some good videos of MT Walker, especially the last 100m.

I'd like to get up to Mt Walker but the wife is not keen,as we'v been on a few outings lately and was away last weekend in the 4by camping.She needs some weekend home time it seems.I could go,but I'm not sure that I want to go solo al day. Will there be other wifes along,or just the blokes?

I certainly wouldn't mind giving Mt walker a go; the only thing that concerns me is the lack of a bash plate on my vehicle but hey what can possibly go wrong..... :shock:

Jeff will definitely give it a go (although he doesn't know it yet )

We'll have another trip out there one day Piet; I know that Renee has unfinished business there :!: :lol:

Up to you Terry; there's only 3 vehicles at this point in time; Jeff & I solo, not sure about glen_ep. Besides, we put on day trips all the time so just keep an eye on the forum :wink:

Hey guys I'm getting really keen to see this Mt Walker track!

Unfortunately it might have to be another time for me. I need to taxi the missus to work both days now (damn EOFY) 'cause train service is a joke on weekends. I won't be able to get to Richmond until about 10am - and I guess that's a bit late for Lithgow??? I can still drive, just have less time... or I could just stay home and work on truck upgrades.

BTW - I was planning on driving solo.

yeah it'll be too late Glen, what a shame but not to worry, we'll have another day out there definitely when the Boomslangmobile is back on the road :wink: Maybe August :?: Anyway Piet will let us know when.

Don't forget we are still go for Newnes State forest on July 18th if you want to come along.
