Great spot, living where I do it's a regular haunt for me as well....we are lucky to have Straddie, Moreton, Bribie and Fraser Islands all within a few hours drive.....just a pity all that nice red dirt I love is so far away...the photo of my Prado on the left is actually taken on Straddie

Samo, myself, Damo and our families are planning a Stradbroke trip near the end of the year. Looking forward to the break and the adventure of a road trip. I keep checking out this thread, it keeps me getting out of bed at bloody sparrows fart and dragging my arse off to work

Matt, here's a little gallery of images from back in 2006 when I first got my 90 series.

I was looking for more recent trip reports of mine but they must have been archived with the forum change.
Make sure you find time t doo Tripod track which leads to Tripod lookout. Easy sand drive but nice views from one of the highest points of the island and a good loop back if the beach is too high or the keyholes are still closed.
              Cheers, Leon
