Re: Fraser Island Oct 2010 Trip - All packed up!

Had a little play around with the new iMovie 11 that I just bought with some of our Fraser Island video, all from the iPhone 4. Good bit of fun and gave me something to do on a Sunday night. From now on however I will take more video whilst away.

Incredible trip report Rogerthat. I've always wanted to do a trip to Fraser Island but never had a capable car let alone a partner car/convoy to go with. Were there any other cars with you? Then again you went well equipt with 4 maxtrax! By the way, have you got any photos of lake mckenzie? That'd probably be the first thing I'd want to see at Fraser.

Love the photos, especially the night shot of the HID's. Thanks for sharing!

          Cheers

Hey William, sorry on the this trip we did not go to Mckenzie, way to busy with tour operators and back packers for our liking... Lake Birrabeen is just as nice 'used' to have less people there. However since they did up the Mckenzie day use area and closed it down for 8 months Birrabeen was also very popular. It was just my wife and I on this trip (plus antenna, not big on conversations but  ) and we did not have to use the MaxTrax once, to my surprise. It is a great spot. If you ever make it up and want someone to head over there with you let us know, I am sure we could organise a PP trip over in a flash.

              Cheers Daniel

Does Antenna have a Facebook page? So photogenic!

I'd like to be his friend.

                Cheers,

Leigh loves that fact that the antenna featured heavily, as it is the same on our car if she is taking photo's out the front.

Hehe, I am just planning his next adventure. Antenna should have a good outing next weekend.

I suppose Lake McKenzie is a tourists overhype then. I just want to see for my own eyes the pure silica sands and crystal clear fresh water. I too prefer seclusion when out camping. A small sized PP trip to Fraser would be somethin' special

                          Cheers

Mckenzie is no hype mate, it is truly stunning however way to many backpackers for our liking on this trip, it is a must but for any first visit to Fraser island.
