Chippy you look way to organised were do you find the time for a shake down run. I am going This friday and still have heaps to do.
The pic of your car with the trailer has that got the air bags in and how much wieght did you have in the back. I am a bit woried my prado will sag down too far. Have 2inch ridepro springs towing 4.5 ally boat with food, and 2 engels in the back. What do you think. Also will be taking the double 2nd row seat out. Cheers Phil.

        Hey Phil

That pic has only 10 psi in the airbags to bring the ride up to level - the balance in the Trak Shak is great and I can get the weight at the drawbar down to 75-80 Kgs.

Keep in mind, though, there's no Rack Sacks on the car's roofrack and no family of 5 inside - I'm going to need most of that 30 psi by the time I'm done.

I reckon the 2" springs should do the trick.

Have a blast - and can you leave me a fish or two please ???
You're heading up a day before me - you might have caught them all by the time I get there.

        Cheers
        Chippy

Hey, there's some great tips there Pedro.

I've got another one. It guards the house like a pit bull, it checks the mail every day, pays bills, cooks meals, does the laundry and cleans the house, turns lights and tellys on and off at random and phones if there are any problems - but it's bloody expensive.

It's a mother in law. We moved her in with us eleven years ago. She goes off on her trips every year - last year was a 3 month backpacking tour of Europe 8) - but she's at home this time - and we are surrounded by friendly neighbours who are going to keep popping in and making sure she doesn't have too many senior's rave partys.

Insurances are all paid up - and documented so that they know where we are going. There's also no little surprises like .. "Our policy specifically mentions that you are not covered if your vehicle sustains damage from a camel while on a gravel road above the 26th parallel .. "

                  Cheers

Lawn Hill Gorge gets my vote for best spot! Rent the canoes and paddle up to the end of the gorge, its awesome.

If you are going the reef when in Qld go from Port Douglas not Cairns, much better and not as busy.

Karajini Gorge is also great. The Bungles are good but a long drive in.

The drive up to Wyndham north of Kununurra to visit the lookout is worth it as well. While there don't miss the Hoochery distillery!!
Also keep your camera handy, the do a lot of new car testing up that way and you might be able to snap a new model!

                          Have an awesome trip!
