Here's the trip report from Saturday 23rd October 2010
Attendees: Stewy, LFaR, Fozzy, D4D-GXL, pml120r, a suzuki, and Brad in Hilux.
Meeting Point: Cnr Mt Lindesay Hwy and Tamrookum Creek Rd - Innisplain
Finishing Point: Queen Mary Falls Coffee Shop - Killarney
Well,... we started with this trip from the Mt Lindesay Hwy where we all met at 8:00am-8:30am.
The weather was on our side this day and it looked to be an interesting day out with scenic views along the way
followed with the 14 River Crossings that the Condamine had on offer for us.
We headed down Tamrookum Creek Rd then onto a private road then up into the hillside.
It wasn't long before we did our 1st U Turn for the morning as we had taken a wrong driveway and came across an old fella who let us know quite quickly that we were on his land.
We soon discovered the correct driveway and headed across into the hills.
As we needed to cross private property in our adventure, we had arranged permission by the owner to proceed so there was no problem.
With 10-15mins into this track we came across our first hurdle which was a fallen tree.
With no other way round we thought we'd have a crack at moving it
A chainsaw here would have helped alot, but we only had 2 x 3/4 axes and Gordo's 12000lbs winch, so we figured we'd give it a go anyhow.
After an hour of chopping and using Gordo's winch, we finally moved the tree and were on our way.

We tracked through this next leg across the mountain which was easy going.
We just took in the pleasant drive and the views of the surrounding area.

We stopped at around 11:30am for a coffee break and a quick bite to eat, then it was onto the Head for the Condamine River.

Once we reached the Head we discovered that the Road was closed for the RIver Crossings but we pushed on anyhow.
The depths were'nt to bad ranging from 1/2 mtr to just under a 1mtr in the deeper crossings.
All of which were no problems for the crew as we had snorkels.
After the first 4 crossings we stopped for Lunch at around 1pm on the side of the road for short meal break.
Whilst stopped we distracted Gordo for a while giving Peter the chance to zipp tie Gordo's rear tailshaft,.....(its an old trick but works well)
We soon left to hit the remaining 10 crossings, all of which was fun for the next hour.

Casualties on the day was LFaR losing his front number plate in the water, and I too lost one of my Blue ARB spot light covers.
We went onto Killarney for a quick toilet stop, then went onto Browns Falls for a look.

We finalised the day at the Queen Mary Falls Coffee Shop before heading back to Brisbane.
At around 4pm in the arvo we said our goodbyes and departed to head home.
All in all it was a good day out amoungst friends.
