This is right, but its because they all live up north and there is only so much fun you can have driving on sand - its always the same just softer or harder in places and if you really lucky you come across a little rise or even Dune :-) :-) :-)

They can only dream of the fun and differing situations and we can have down south in the mud - and different every time even on the same tracks depending on how much it may have rained or not...

Just having a laugh with the above Northen Boys - Don't take it seriously :-)

Hey Will - Got news for you - That Murray Clay\Mud you talk of - Its every where, from the High Country to Wombat State Forest to the new developments just graded and ready for some circle work after a light rain down my end of point cook :-) (far side of dunnings)...

Havent done it in the Prado yet, but in the Jeep with 35" MTZ's you can have alot of fun on a Big Flat Estate after a bit of rain :-) - It an absolute Bi******ch to clean though -

Re: The Rules of the River & 2 bogged prado 150s

I've driven down that end of Dunnings to take my sister in law for driving lessons. There are streets built around empty blocks of land, then beyond that the road turns into gravel.... then mud.. lol  Is that the place you're talking about? Unless there's a lake there with fish in it, a place I can pitch a tent and wood that I can burn, I wont be taking the Prado there  Believe it or not, cops actually patrol that area a lot. You can also often hear a lot of hooning on the new Palmers road on the weekends at like 3am. I think I'll stick with the mud at the Murray Do take pics if you decide to take your prado down Dunnings Haha!

LoL Hutch, thanks for the pics, I hadn't gone through that thread yet. Heaps of awesome pics, looked like you fellas had heaps of fun that day. Couldn't help but notice you said the mud was only 10cms deep and there was gravel under it... Murray mud doesn't have gravel, after 10cms, you get clay, and if you go 10cms more, you'll get even more clay Haha. You fellas up north should really come down and check out the Murray. After all, we (VICs) do go to Fraser  Though, I wouldn't say Fraser is part of QLD, after all, it is an island you can only get to by barge. It's more of a tropical paradise that QLD claimed as their own. I might just claim Tassie as ours (Victoria)

Thats the Place - I live in the farthest estate down dunnings right next to the farm land that sides the gravel road (Hackets Road) until about a month ago the gravel road was the only way I could get to my house but there are since a few sealed roads opened. To right about the hooning specially all the way down my end, it drives me crazy...

That would explain why I keep seeing cars turn onto the gravel roads while driving down Sneydes. Have you seen the land on the other side of Sneydes? I reckon they're going to build houses there soon, and after that happens, they're gonna get flooded some day since the land is so low lying! I'd consider going for a drive there when it happens

Easy on Jasen, it was only a joke  Cops on Fraser must be the envy of those in the police force. Must be up there on one of the top jobs in Australia.

Us Queenslanders are very proud of our Fraser Island! (even though I lived in the UK for 30 odd year, 2 years in Sydney and just 1 1/2 years in Brisbane lol)

Haha, well aren't you lucky. My brother might be moving to Cairns next year for 3years. This would make a trip to Fraser even more likely Till then, I'm stickin with the recently revitalised Murray

Drove past Hackets road this morning, it's now closed due to flooding at the entrance. A nice water crossing for you there! Time to snorkel up

I did see a Volkswagon jetta bogged in the same spot in the weekend. Like to know what the driver was thinking

The driver failed to follow one of the basic rules of puddle bashing, if in doubt, poke it with a stick   It's hard to believe people can get bogged there seeing as its mostly gravel and probably only 30cms deep (I'm guessing)! I too wonder what they were thinking going through that puddle, but I'm more interested in what they were thinking after they got bogged. You know... the "Ah 5#!7" moment. LOL
