Hi everyone after a bit of interest in my previous trip report of the power lines track viewtopic.php?f=29&t=11027 , think it would be a perfect opportunity for a new year PP trip up there on Saturday the 8th of Jan. Now my knowledge of the area is pretty sketchy as we are new to WA but I know the track is awesome and quite difficult in some places but alot of fun.

DESTINATION: Mundaring powerlines

DATE: Saturday 8th January 2011

MEETING PLACE: KFC Car park Mundaring. Cnr Stoneville Rd & Great Eastern Hwy, Mundaring WA 6073

WHAT TO BRING: Prado, Recovery gear, Camera, Lunch

TIME: 9.30

Count me in and times are ok for me. Sawyers Tavern is a bit past where we need to be and I don't mind meeting there, but could suggest either the KFC carpark in Mundering or the Pub at Mundering Weir as a meeting point. Upto everyone else and depending on where you are coming from. I will be heading past Mundering Weir but I assume most will come out Great Eastern Hwy?

I would have been keen to tag along to my first PP outing, however we are leaving for a week down at denmark on saturday. Have a good one and hope to catch up and meet you all on the next one.

I understand that as a minimum I would need front/back recovery points to join these trips? I will be fitting recovery points to the stock 120's over the xmass break. with buulbar and lift/tryes on the to do list over the next 6 months.

Hi FBD,

Which bullbar are you thinking of getting? One of the ARB ones comes with the recovery points built in. If that is the one you plan on getting save yourself some money. If you don't have one get a compressor first.

Hi 2 + 4

Either the ironman or the arb steel bar (havent started the research yet ). Will get a price for the ironman lift kit/suspension upgrade at the same time and we have just brought a 2nd hand camprite so might throw in a set of polybags as well oh and the grandtreks will have to go.. ..Plenty of mods to do all in good time.

I have a bluetounge compressor, snatch straps, shackles, hand winch and highlift jack from past 4wd's

I will have to work out what plans the boss has for me but Im sure she will be up for it. Otherwise I may be a co-driver again for Chriso!
