Re: NSW: Sunday December 19th: Newnes State Forest

Thanks for the trip Glenn and good to meet you Declan, hopefully you enjoyed your 1st off-road experience.

How was your trip home? I got hit with some torrential rain between zig zag and Yetholme, I think I averaged about 70kmh in the 110 zone out of Lithgow!

Hopefully I'll have my pics up tomorrow.

Yes we had some rain but not too bad, plenty of Sunday drivers around.......including a very slow semi that seemed to miss a gear going up Mt. Tomah & nearly stopped, omg :!:  Made it back to Richmond in one piece thank god!
      Cheers,
      Glenn

Camera is mounted on the windscreen, drivers side bottom corner via one of those suction mount thingys 8) Easy to reach out & switch it on & off from inside the car.

Camera is a Canon IXUS 100IS

              A similar routine to glenn's

              First the air down

Glen lead the way for the first half

A spot of Morning Tea by the wombat holes

              Trial by mud

Then the rain came to settle the dust and make some more mud to play in

Lunch on the windy hill top

Look how mother nature plots her next downpour

Can't remember the place, but it was a cool photo op

One of the many awesome views from the day

Re: NSW: Sunday December 19th: Newnes State Forest

The camera mount is a Panavise from the US, I bought mine off ebay & paid way too much I discovered later  They have a distributor in Australia:

                  http://www.mektronics.com.au/index.php? ... &Itemid=57

Plenty of others on ebay but I don't know what the quality is like:

If you could send me the GPS track I'm sure I can find something to read it.

Great pics of Glenn tackling the Wombat holes.
