Well Folks,....Some of us braved the wet conditions we've been having here in the South East lately
and decided to head up to Glasshouse for a look around.

Those in attendance was :- Stewy, LFaR, pml120r, D4D-GXL, Fozzy, Callo, Richo and Geoff

Starting at 8:00am on the northside, most of us met for a general catchup and a well cooked BBQ breakfast at D4D-GXL's place.
By 9:30am we were off to meet up with pml120r and Geoff to have a run around the tracks at Glasshouse for a few hours.

To our surprise the wet conditions turned out to be fairly dry, with the sun even coming out around midday.
We found that some areas were still quite water logged and a few tracks impassable unless you were wearing your floaties.

Overall it was an excellent day with the rain staying away until the end of the trip.

Then we sent Gordo in,.........only to get stuck




After recovering Gordo,....we found he had broken exhaust





Onward bound here for a look around





Still wet in places, we couldn't push on here so a few went on ahead for a better look to check the track.
We decided it to be impassable a bit further up, so we turned everyone around and headed home

Thanks Stewy for organising the drive, great to catch up with those who attended especially before chrissy!!
Have to try organise a night drive through the same areas next time. minus the bent exhaust, might let it dry out abit first though, considering it hasn't stopped raining all day today, lucky we did go yesterday!

Looks like a good trip despite the muddy conditions. On future outing to Glasshouse, you should try the inland tracks, they're more challenging.

Looks like an eventful day out... all those bright orange things on the roof :?
After my bash plate incident with Gordon I'd be using them to form a ramp to help jump over the banks rather than plowing through it.

Nice vid Stewy... could have come with a warning at the opening credits :shock:

Yeah Snaga, I know. We gave Gordo such a hard time with his shorts slipp'n down that day.
All the crack jokes etc. I just thought I'd throw it in at the start. All a bit of fun really, no harm intended.

Thanks for a great day out Stewy. Gordo your breakfast cooking was great. Richo the chinese umbrellas are so stylish - thanks mate. A great day out and even better with such good company and sharing the crack. The rain on the way home did not dislodge anywhere near all the mud, rained Sunday so I eventually top dressed my lawn on Monday. First really good clean and vacuum for 3 months as I have been touring. Only 15,000km getting to and home from the GTG this time.
Great to catch up. Merry Christmas all.

Callo, it was great to catch up with you and the team again.
It was a surprise to see you guys finally made it home after a long time away.
Even better that you made it for the last trip of the year.

With so many more trips done this year than expected, and hopefully even more will follow in 2011.
Maybe next year we can focus on more weekend adventures.
LFaR and I are always up to see something new or to cut in our own tracks, LOL,.... and D4D-GXL is usually brave enough to give just about anything a go.

Well what can I say Stewy :shock: :shock: :shock: ......I am sure that there are plenty of other picturesque objects to photograph that would make better pictures, but I just didn't expect so many people to take those sordid photos of my crack, all due to a loose fitting belt. Thats Just taking the "Mickie" mate........Not good CARMA (The PradoPoint Fairy will be visiting you AGAIN real soon no doubt). I can only hope that you don't frame your numerous photographs of my "misfortune" to hang in your lounge room - or the "Pool Room". ops: ops: ops:

I think a welcome BBQ for forthcoming day trips would be just the icing on the cake....Great idea Stewy and I'm glad I could accommodate. The BBQ went very well with a few prezzies exchanging hands towards the end. I think we all enjoyed the BBQ breaky as it was a while since we had all caught up. Hope there will be more in the future.
