  • Stockton beach trip

Just wondering who would be interested in a day/weekend on stockton beach.
At this stage Im thinking the 21st and/or 22nd of July.
Beach permits are $8 for the weekend or $30 for the year.
Would be great to see everyone from the watagans trip and even better to see some new faces, especialy 90series owners (I felt lonely last time).

A big maybe from me. Just depends on what day and what time. It is the end of the soccer season. Might have a mate of mine in a 90 series join us as well.

Was there on the weekend. Here are a few pics to wet your appetite and maybe entice a few others to put their hand up for a bit of fun in the sand.

Even let the missus have a drive.

                  Cheers - Byrnsie

She didn't . . . but I did. Just didn't post those pics. Was a good opportunity to test the snatch strap and the recovery points. Also had to justify having the long handled shovel on the roof racks . . . glad I did!

                      STUCK!

But not as bad as my mate in his 90 series

getting bogged is part of any stoko trip.

pulled an 80 series off the water line one day, took my 90 and a 60 pulling together to get it out, with the big waves reaching the 80 and still an hour till high tide.

                          Nice pics.

Our family drove north to south one after noon over 20 years ago in dads Nissan Datsun patrol.
Had all sort of trouble untill we got rescued.
Dad let the tyres down but not enough.

                          First lesson learned, Never forgoten.

Now im on the other side of the island. Hope you have a good trip and take the pics remember.
How many prados can you get in front of the wreck?

                          Jeff.
Reminds me of my safari in Africa. Somebody forgot the corkscrew and for several days we had to live on nothing but food and water.

Nice pics and it looks like the weather was good to you also. We went up to Barrington on Sunday and just after getting there it started snowing and didn't stop for the rest of the day, bloody cold but brilliant.

Yota, any idea which day you are looking at yet for Stockton as not sure if we can make both days and would prefer Sunday if for only one day?

Shane might make it also in his Courier

Hopefully more people decide to come at the last minuet, like the Watagans trip, its going to be pretty quiete at the moment.

Or maybe we should pick another weekend.
