SEQ Rainbow Beach / Double Island Day Trip - Feb 26

Hi Guys,

I'm heading to Double Island Point / Rainbow Beach for another day trip. If anyone is keen on tagging along, kindly reply to this thread. The meeting details as follows:

When:: Saturday Feb 26th, 2011 (sorry Snaga)
Where: Double Island / Rainbow Beach run
Tides: Based on this web page on Rainbow tides, low tides is usually between 10am and 12pm. I'll confirm closer to the trip date the exact low tide time.

COST: Beach access permit is required. $10 for a day permit and can be purchased via the derm website.

- You only need to get the Cooloola Way Vehicle Access permit for this trip.

The Meet:
Northbound Twin BP off Bruce Highway before the Bribie Island Caboolture turn off. Due to the tide times, we will need to head off earlier for this trip.
Meet at 7:15am for 7:30 am departure

Things to bring
Camera, mossie repellent, basic recovery gear, BYO lunch (I'm having BBQ hamburger) - we won't be stopping at Rainbow beach for lunch, water, chair and a sense of adventure.

Doesn't matter now... as of mid Jan 2011, I no longer teach at the college.
Mind you had another teaching offer at another college last week but turned it down... that full time work stuff gets in the way of too many PP trips :mrgreen:

I'll check with SWMBO and see what's on the calendar.

I have the kids soccer muster day in the morning and soccer on Saturdays from now, so I'm out, have to look at some Future Sunday Runs.

Cairns is off, just had to cancel our flights so I maybe a starter... Will see if I can get a leave pass from Lawry and take the Prado but she may not like that idea as she will not have a car. Will let you know.
